Casa Verde: Bangkok's Lifestyle Lounge for Living Well

In one of Asia's most electric cities, Casa Verde is inviting people to slow down. Part lounge, part café, part lifestyle brand, it blends premium cannabis, Sri Lankan tea, great coffee and fashion into one serene space. Trendsetters Only sat down with CEO Akkel Affan to talk wellness, design and the art of belonging.
Bangkok never really sleeps. Its streets hum with traffic, food stalls and nightlife, and its skyline keeps reaching higher. Yet tucked away from the rush is a space built on a very different rhythm. Casa Verde rests on three pillars: wellness, conscious living and community. The result feels less like a shop and more like a private members' retreat. At the helm are CEO Akkel Affan and CMO Travon Ridley-Evans.

A simple idea in an energetic city
The vision behind Casa Verde began with something refreshingly straightforward. "I wanted to create a place where people could slow down, connect and enjoy quality things in a beautiful environment," the founder explains.
Bangkok, with its international energy, proved the perfect setting. "I felt there was room for a more refined cannabis lifestyle experience," they say.
Rather than build around a single product, the team brought together everything they genuinely love. Premium cannabis sits alongside Sri Lankan tea, great coffee, fashion and warm hospitality. "We wanted to create a space that feels more like a private lifestyle lounge than a traditional cannabis shop."
Casa Verde - Not a wellness destination, a lifestyle
Trendsetters are always chasing the next way to live well. So what makes Casa Verde feel fresh? For the founder, the answer lies in the mix. "Casa Verde isn't trying to be a traditional wellness destination. It's a lifestyle experience."
Guests might drop in for a premium coffee or a pot of Sri Lankan tea. Others come to discover some of the finest California cannabis, or simply to spend time with friends. Bespoke shirts and lifestyle pieces complete the picture. "We see Casa Verde as a brand and a community, not just a place to buy a product," they say.
The guiding thread is careful curation. "Everything is curated around quality, comfort and individuality."

Timeless by design
From the gardens to the social pool, every corner of Casa Verde feels intentional. The founder describes the look as "modern luxury with a relaxed, natural feel." The goal was elegance that never feels intimidating.
The palette is calm and considered: natural stone, soft cream tones and mint green, finished with subtle luxury details. Nature was the biggest influence. It offers a deliberate contrast to Bangkok's pace, so guests feel more relaxed the moment they walk in.
Trends were never the point. "The idea was always to create something timeless rather than follow a trend."

Where conversations begin
At Casa Verde, connection starts with a cup. "Tea and coffee are a big part of how people connect," the founder says. "A great drink creates a reason to sit down, talk and stay a little longer."
That thinking shapes the partnership with Sarnies. "Their focus on quality coffee, cannabis and hospitality complements what we are trying to create at Casa Verde."
"We want people to come to Casa Verde for different reasons, but ultimately leave feeling that they discovered a place where they belong."

The perfect day
So what does an ideal visit look like? It starts with a great coffee or a pot of Sri Lankan tea. Then comes time to unwind, meet friends and soak up the atmosphere. For those curious about cannabis, the founder recommends taking time to discover quality products and find what suits their experience.
You don't need to be a cannabis enthusiast to enjoy it, though. "You can come for the coffee, tea, fashion, design or simply the environment."
In a world that rarely pauses, Casa Verde makes a strong case for doing exactly that. "Ultimately, Casa Verde is about slowing down, enjoying the moment and surrounding yourself with good people and good things," the founder says. "That's the lifestyle we want the brand to represent."
