SLR Jewels: Where Legacy Meets Modern Alchemy

Updated: Apr 8

With over seven decades of heritage behind it, SLR Jewels is far more than a jewelry house—it is a tribute to legacy, craftsmanship, and quiet elegance. At the heart of its story is founder and CEO Stevie Rachmuth, whose earliest memories trace back to walks down New York’s storied 47th Street, hand in hand with his father, a lifelong jeweler. What began as a childhood reverie would later evolve into a bold homage to legacy: casting one of his father’s dress shirt buttons in pure gold. A gesture both intimate and iconic—this was the spark that lit the flame.

In 2012, Stevie introduced the first button necklace, later followed by a dog tag-shaped iteration. What he couldn’t have predicted was how that initial act of remembrance would grow into a full-fledged brand a decade later. Today, SLR Jewels stands as a modern heirloom house, blending heartfelt classics with bespoke innovation. Each piece speaks to the soul, grounding memories in metal, emotion in elegance.

But at SLR, the button is more than a motif—it’s a metaphor. A small, often unnoticed object with the power to hold, fasten, and connect. In their world, it becomes a symbol of unity and endurance. In a time where everything feels transient, SLR invites us to celebrate what holds us together.

Their most recent celebration—Last Button Week—was a defining moment. Set in the heart of Tribeca, the exclusive soirée welcomed international tastemakers, creatives, and family alike, drawing attention not only to the button’s cultural significance but to its emotional weight.

With handcrafted cocktails, curated culinary moments, and immersive touchpoints—from sewing to styling—guests were invited to experience the SLR universe in full. It was more than an event; it was a statement of identity.

In a fast-paced industry that often prizes the new over the meaningful, SLR Jewels dares to be different. They’ve cultivated a devoted community not by chasing trends, but by honoring what’s timeless.

Their designs remind us that beauty lies in detail, that luxury can be intimate, and that sometimes, the smallest elements hold the greatest strength.

Because at SLR, the last button is never just a button. It’s a bond.
